Fuck it, you guys have won.
I could make a whole novel detailing the inherent selfishness of human nature (and I nearly did) but my mind is so sick and so weak to continue developing any single one of my projects. Humans are so selfish, forcing people to endure misery and continue existence, completely disregarding a longterm damaged quality of life. All so they can say that they saved a person from committing to a "permanent" solution to a "temporary" problem, unwilling to think critically about the torment that led to a person's current state, without reducing a person's existence to a platitude they heard on TikTok.
Over the past six years, there have not been any critically positive aspect of my life that outweigh the concentrated dread of existence. For every aspect that could be considered positive, it is bogged by overarching, inescapable negative attributes that drown out any positive qualities inherent to the situation. Over the past decade, I have had serious traumas mount ad infinitum, and have been compelled to never speak at length about them to anyone other than the void that consists of my own websites, such as one like this.
The routes people like us are forced to take, due to western society's default categorisation of people like us as inherently mentally incompetent, not only diminish the little quality of life that we still have... but it also forces us to attempt methods that can leave us with severe injury in the event of failure -- eradicating the possibility of recovery in any form. This society favours longevity of life over its quality.
And the one thing that takes me aback is that they think that they're humane for doing so.

The single underlying reason for this site's existence is to document my personal grievances, a project that started within the hidden ramblings page on halken.co. Putting the reasons for my behaviours into words, published and documented online, so that anyone can see why I came out the way I am - rather than speculate, especially if I'm not around to clarify or defend myself.

Otherwise -- this is my online alcove. For the most part, I use this site as a self-reference guide, since my greatest fears are losing memories. Other times, I use it as a small blog, or a host for documentation that doesn't exist anywhere else. There's genuinely all kinds of publicly available data from me to make your local information-security specialist bow their heads in second-hand shame.
This site is a personal project to document my experiences and opinions, something like an open diary or journal. Creating a personal website is monumental for organising my thoughts and putting my various domains to use.

As mentioned, the content on this site is not being advertised in any way, as it is primarily designed to serve as a self-referential guide, a means to pass time, and a healthy way to document and process everyday events and opinions. One day, Halcove serves as a blog, whereas the other, it may serve as a technical reference manual for something I've either created or often use.
To those who see self-care as "self-obsession", I invite them to choke on a full personal wiki while they remain clueless about their own stagnation.

Amongst other names, I mainly go by Halvorsen. In short, I am a computer technician who also does work for the Nintendo Homebrew community, alongside other personal projects relating to hardware and graphic design. You can find more info on my user page.

Halcove is my online alcove. I use this site as a self-reference guide, since my greatest fears are also losing memories. Other times, I use it as a small blog, or a host for documentation that doesn't exist anywhere else. An underlying reason for this site's existence is prevent people from jumping to their own conclusions by headcanoning a living human. I don't particularly enjoy repeating things or engaging in repetitive conversations, so it's easy and effective to list the reasons why I do what I do here.

This site is a personal project to document my experiences and opinions, something like an open diary or journal. Creating a personal website is monumental for organising my thoughts and putting my various domains to use.

To those who see self-care as "self-obsession", I invite them to choke on a full personal wiki while they remain clueless about their own stagnation.

Assessments[edit | edit source]

This section documents some thoughts I have about certain products I've used.

They're not exactly reviews, just thoughts...

Ramblings[edit | edit source]

2022 March 18:
"...During my initial playthrough, I chose to see the the escapist off and continue on my own. The player returns to the Outer Wall a few times, and the departing character seems hesitant on departing alone. As events progress, the person ends up disappearing, not even having the chance to say our final goodbyes. Making it more important to see the objectives brought forth to me through until the end."

2022 March 15:
"Starting to think that music is having a more powerful effect that it has any right to.

For the past few months, I've been listening to..."
