The eighth track in Hikaru Utada's BADモード (BAD MODE) album, Find Love is a introspective reflection regarding their personal journey on evolving the relationship between both themselves and their peers. Thematically, Find Love starts off with an undeniably quirky instrumental arrangement that might give off a playful or casual atmosphere. My favorite part about this track is the progression from this playful vibe in the beginning, to a notably morose and sullen monologue where the listener can sense the frustration within the vocals. This progression is also notable in its instrumental.
This progression reminds me a bit of a naïve and optimistic young innocence that can easily become corrupted with sadness and depression as time goes on. A theme which also coincidentally fits for BADモード.
