Graphic design is another hobby that I tend to spend time with. I've been involved with homebrew logo designs, GUI layouts, and miscellaneous organisation badge creation.

Photoshop, and paint.net are my primary image manipulation tools, with Lightroom being used for photos.

Like with music, logos are intended to convey a tone or an impression, so it's important that it can be properly detected off of the first glance.

The themes on this ramblings page can also be considered an example of digital work I've done.

Logos[edit | edit source]

A logo for a university club.

Disconnected[edit | edit source]

This is a logo for a prospective university club in order to allow students to have time away from their devices.

This has undergone a multitude of different design revisions.

This was created in approximately October of 2020.

Mod Moon[edit | edit source]

The logo to homebrew software Mod-Moon.

This is the logo for the homebrew software Mod-Moon. I provided the main art alongside most of the remaining UI assets and the layout.

There was a large amount of negative space with the text on two different levels, but leaving them on the same level didn't help at all. I added a group of stars to somewhat alleviate that issue, but I still think it could be better...

The moon was externally done by xGhostBoyx, and is rendered in-app by Swiftloke via his fully original graphics engine.

The logo to a conceptualised social application.

Status[edit | edit source]

This logo was created for a social app concept.

It was created in Photoshop and there is an emphasis on the us in the logo to signify the application's goal.

UIs[edit | edit source]

USM-eM logo

USM[edit | edit source]

The majority of the UI in USM was done by myself. The original base project logo was created by Vye, a member of the team.

With the Winds release of USM, the logo was revamped to feature primarily green text on an ink-splattered background, removing the subtext that spanned the title in favor of a small subtitle in white.

Art[edit | edit source]

A portrait of Link drawn on a 2DS display, approximately in early 2014.

Miiverse Link[edit | edit source]

This portrait of the character Link was created on a Nintendo 2DS in or around 2014. The Nintendo 2DS has a 240p resistive touchscreen which is only three inches large, so I am very proud of the end result given these constraints. The original post was created as a Miiverse community drawing, but I can't recall which community specifically.

In or around 2020, I colorised and touched up the sketch, which is shown below the original drawing. Still considerably rudimentary and was planned as such.

Another revision is planned which fully overhauls the original drawing and uses modern digital art tools. It will likely be using an Adobe product, such as Photoshop or Illustrator; I am definitely appreciative of any tips.

Photos[edit | edit source]

Feeling Blue - February 2020

Feeling Blue[edit | edit source]

Taken on or around February 2020, this is simply a photo of a bird standing on a signpost behind a blue background.

The background was digitally manipulated, but the sky color values came directly from the original background.

These birds often sit on these signposts and I often notice it while outside at my job. Luckily this opportune moment arrived for me to capture this photo with the bird's perfect posing!

Unnamed[edit | edit source]

While this is one of my favorite photos, there's not much special to write about it.

The rippling of the water is one of my favorite aspects of the photo, as it showcases the vastness of the body of water by adding texture to an otherwise generic and basic-looking surface. In addition, due to the similar color tones of the sky and the water, the image can be easily adapted to accurately resemble any time of the day[1] .

This is one of a collage of photos taken of this body of water over a period of three years, so perhaps an album will be made, instead of posting each image individually.

Airtime[edit | edit source]

Airtime.

A silhouette photo taken in the same vein as Feeling Blue. It was taken on a school basketball court.
