Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a Nintendo Switch game released in late 2017, as a console-seller for the Nintendo Switch. To date, it is the highest-sold Nintendo Switch software title. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is an enhanced port of Wii U title Mario Kart 8.

I've finished every course in every class with triple stars, including DLC.

Version differences[edit | edit source]

  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe lacks the frame stutter bug caused by the Wii U version playing at 59fps, causing one frame to repeat every second.
  • Mario Kart 8 is the first console title since Double Dash!! to feature dual item slots.
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe not only features every DLC from the original, but also an exclusive expansion of 48 retro courses as paid DLC.
