Hey, I'm Halvorsen. If you know me in person, you know me as North. I operate this site as well as the others listed here.
I often work on various repair projects, various software, manage community projects, and listen to music daily. I try to devote much of my time to original research and applying that information forward to unique personal projects.
I appreciate the security of knowing exactly how the world around me works so there I don't run into unfortunate surprises.
I am a hardware collector and data hoarder as well.
Above all, my goal with this site is to have documentation about my experiences, actions, and projects. Information that hopefully outlives me and doesn't decompose with me after I die. As a former amnesiac, one of the main reasons for this site's existence is so that I can attempt to recover and store the memories I lost. I hope that isn't too much to hope for.
Contact[edit | edit source]
I have drastically reduced my online availability in recent years. Please be patient.
Don't feel afraid to ask me about getting repairs done on your electronic devices, or about network / information security support.
